La Joya del Valle de Ricote

"Perfect romantic gateaway"
The perfect place to relax and spend some time without any rush. The room is beautiful (we stayed in the Hayma) and has all that you could need and even more. The complimentary breakfast, which you prepare yourself in the individual kitchen, includes from coffee & tea to homemade jams and fresh fruits (oranges, lemons and grapefruits) picked from the farm. They also offer the possibility to purchase a dinner service (take away format due to Covid restrictions) from a local restaurant, delivered at your door by the owners. We used it and was perfect. You can otherwise cook your own meals. The guided tour we did on the citrus farm was amazing! Ianos (the landlady) provided many interesting pieces of knowledge. And you get to pick your own fruits and take a bag home. The surrounding area has many places for hiking, sightseeing, etc. Very stay in nature & outdoors. And the owners are an amazing couple, eager to provide you with assistance, information or just some chat. They clearly put a lot of passion.…12 Oct, 0110 Diana en Tripadvisor
"Fantastic stay with fabulous hosts who made our trip"
After reading reviews I thought this would be a good place to stay but it exceeded my expectations. We where met in the car park helped with our cases and showed round the accommodation everything explained. We choose our breakfast time and ended chatting for ages. We were made to feel so welcome and comfortable. The area is so beautiful and the accommodation was top notch. What made it so special was how friendly and helpful the hosts are. Their advice directions and booking great places to eat and visit made our holiday so good. This is real Spain so hosts that know the area and the best places are invaluable. We loved finding about the area and history and learnt lots about the Ricote Valley. Without a doubt the best place to stay in this area with amazing fresh breakfasts with local ingredients. Mini bar in the room was lovely and good value. Nothing else in the area compares to this bed and breakfast. You will love it.…12 Oct, 0110 spanner141 en Tripadvisor
"Everything was perfect!"
We loved our stay at La Joya! The hosts are very kind and helpful. They gave fantastic tips for restaurants, museum and hikes. Breakfast and dinner was delicious. We stayed for four nights but it was too short.12 Oct, 0110 Monique B en Tripadvisor
"Silver Wedding Anniversary Night"
We found this place purely by chance, and what a find. It is by far one of the best experiences my wife and I have ever had from the personal welcome to the gift of roses as we left, I cannot fault this place It is only 40 minutes from our Spanish hone in the area of Roldan, but the peace and tranquility the residence offers is amazing. We stayed in the Haymah of Ibn Ari room which is an amazing one off Accomodation. My pictures will not do it justice. We were met by our hosts and shown around our room, with a welcoming cocktail. We chose the romantic dinner package for. Our silver wedding anniversary at €210 which I would have paid double for. We were served a bottle complimentary cava on our private terrace. And when we finished went inside to be served s beautiful 3 course meal made with lorcal produce and a bottle of local vino tinto. I'm the morning breakfadt of fresh fruit, croissants, fruit juice, tea and coffee were served again on our u sunny private terrace. The area is within orange and lemon groves which you are free to roam around. Another nice touch is the hammock and love settee which is in a private garden area. Our hosts Llanos and Assis were amazing and provided us with a driving route through the Ricote Valley. On leaving my wife was given a beautiful home grown bunch of red roses. An amazing experience which we will definately do again. …12 Oct, 0110 Andy A en Tripadvisor
"Llanos and Assis are the most special people"
We stayed for 3 nights in February (sorry we only got round to leaving a review now!) From the moment we arrived we couldn't have asked for a warmer welcome in a beautiful and unique setting. The accommodation itself was cosy, private and well thought out with every detail thought about. The fire was already crackling upon our arrival and we enjoyed the selection of sailing books/magazines and tourist info, keeping both me and my partner happy! We had dinner the first night included with our package (which is something we usually don't do) and I would definitely recommend this. Plenty of food, and again lots of attention to detail! The citrus tour was fascinating and you can really feel Llanos' passion and connection to the land. But what made this place stand out were Llanos and Assis themselves. They are two very special people and we felt like we gained new friends. The best part of our stay was sitting and chatting with them and soaking up the atmosphere. We would love to go back again to top up on our vitamin C!! Thanks again for a great stay…12 Oct, 0110 Fenella C en Tripadvisor
